Founded in 1972, the purpose of the National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) is to identify Eagle Scouts and to provide a manpower resource for local councils. The primary objective of local chapters is to guide Eagle Scouts of all ages into service within the local council. All BSA councils have membership enrolled in the National Eagle Scout Association.NESA is young men searching for dynamic and challenging leadership roles. NESA is older Eagle Scouts who desire using their efforts and influence toward forming the kind of young men America needs for leadership. The objective of NESA is to serve – to serve Eagle Scouts and through them, the entire movement of Scouting.National Eagle Scout Association Website | |||||||
The objective of the National Eagle Scout Association is to serve Eagle Scouts, and through them, the entire movement of Scouting. Our Committee focuses on serving the needs of the Eagle Scouts of the Orange County Council of BSA in Orange County, California. Our mission is to recognize Scouts who have attained the Eagle Scout rank and to engage Eagle Scouts to actively support Scouting in Orange County throughout their lives. Our Calendar and Roles and Responsibilities documents describe our cadence of activities and positions for which we seek volunteers. We normally meet at 7:00 pm on the first Tuesday of the month at the OC BSA Headquarters, 2 Irvine Park Road Orange, CA 92869. All Eagle Scouts are welcome and encouraged to attend. For more information, contact our Committee Adviser, Dave Jarvis at 714.415.5925 or by email davidj@ocbsa.org. Please explore the many benefits of NESA membership by visiting the BSA’s National site by clicking on the button below. We have also created a Facebook group for Orange County alumni Eagle Scouts. Please join it so that we can get your feedback on topics important to our committee and so that we can notify you of upcoming events.

Eagle Scout Recognition DinnerAt the Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner, we celebrate the previous year’s class of Orange County Council’s Eagle Scouts, Quartermasters and Venturing Silver Award recipients. Held in the spring, typically at one of Orange County’s finest hotel ballrooms, the Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner provides the county’s Scout leaders and local business leaders a chance to sponsor (host) an Eagle Scout, Quartermaster or Venturing Silver recipient. This can include inviting them to visit the sponsor’s place of business as well as accompanying them to the dinner. |

Scout-O-RamaScout-O-Rama is the annual trade show of Scouting in Orange County that is attended by over 30,000 people. Scouts and their families enjoy a fun-filled day of exhibits, competitions and displays. The NESA Committee staffs a booth where Eagle Scouts can meet, talk and refresh.
