Religious Emblems & Awards

To encourage members to grow stronger in their faith, religious groups have developed the religious emblems programs. The Boy Scouts of America has approved of these programs and allows the emblems to be worn on the official uniform. The various religious groups administer the programs. Check with your local council service center or contact the religious organization directly to obtain the curriculum booklets.

Unit Religious Emblems Coordinator

Unit Religious Emblems Coordinators are volunteers who are interested in knowing how to increase religious emblems usage and strengthen retention of youth in Scouting. These coordinators work to involve more youth and parents in the religious emblems program. They also utilize religious emblems as a tool for unit growth and retention and work in relation to the District and Council Religious Emblems Coordinators.

Resources are available for Unit Religions Emblem Coordinators at the P.R.A.Y. website.
